In March 2021, Aliens: Fireteam, a new co-op shooter in the universe of the nasty Xenomorphs, was announced. Now there is news: name change, date and a new trailer.
The name change is not too serious. Aliens: Fireteam became Aliens: Fireteam Elite, for whatever reason. But it is more important that the game now has a release date. Accordingly, the Alien Hatz will appear on August 24, 2021 for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X / S, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
With up to three players you can fight the Xenomorphs as marines in late summer. Five classes, numerous weapon perks and customization options should be available for this. A total of around 20 enemy types are waiting for you in four campaigns with three missions each.
This is not a live service game, but rather a closed affair. However, replayability should be offered via various modifiers for the individual levels, for example in which only headshots cause damage. There are correspondingly higher rewards for this.
In line with the announcement of the date, there is a new pre-order trailer that shows you what you will get if you order the game early. Co-op games seem to be the trend at the moment, after Outriders in the spring, the D&D offshoot Dark Alliance has now appeared, and further representatives of the genre are in work with Back 4 Blood, Rainbow Six: Extraction and Redfall.
