Only Up 2 looks like a sequel to the Steam hit – but comes from a different developer.
Only Up! was one of the sensations on Steam this summer. Supported by many well-known international and national streamers, the project of a solo developer received a lot of attention. But the model for Only Up 2 was already suspected of having used assets and sound effects from other artists without permission. A tradition that the “continuation” appears to be continuing.

What’s the problem with Only Up 2? The game’s name means it’s the second part of the viral Steam hit with an exclamation mark. In fact, the developer has nothing to do with this “sequel”.
The developer behind the 3D platformer, Skyz Studio, has not yet appeared with any other project. You will look in vain for an official website or social media presence.

How does Only Up 2 play?
Just like the model, you have to go through a parkour and keep working your way up the level. Except for running and jumping, the character cannot perform any actions.
The game world also consists of jumbled together and sometimes oversized everyday objects that are put together as a path upwards.
If you fall while climbing up, in case of doubt you will even fall down to the beginning of the game, but as a rule you will lose a large part of your game progress with each fall.
What happened to the original?
In September 2023, the developer under the name indiesolodev removed the game from Steam, so it stands no longer for sale. The reason for this was, among other things, the enormous stress that Only Up! caused.
Only Up! It was quite a phenomenon on Steam and Twitch, but it wasn’t a big surprise due to difficult and frustrating games like Getting Over It.
