At the beginning of the month, there were already increasing signs that the mobile version of Apex Legends should now gradually start; now the start date for the first countries has been set.
Apex Legends has recently increased in terms of player numbers – and the growth should go even further thanks to a mobile version of the Battle Royale hit. At the beginning of the month it was still said that the mobile version is now close, now the start date in the first regions has been set.
Respawn Entertainment announced today, Wednesday, that the free-to-play shooter will start in the first countries next week. The 10 regions Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia, Mexico, Peru, Argentina and Colombia will be part of the limited launch. Previously there was a first small beta in India and the Philippines last year.
During regional launch, players will be able to play as Bloodhound, Gibraltar, Lifeline, Wraith, Bangalore, Octane, Mirage, Pathfinder, and Caustic. Respawn promises more systems and game content for the global launch at a later date.
It is still unclear when Apex Legends Mobile will also start in local areas. The makers should only provide updates on this once knowledge has been gathered due to the limited regional launch. The mobile version will not support cross-play with consoles or PC, so it is limited to iOS and Android.
