The Netflix series “Arcane” – set in the League of Legends universe – returns this year with Season 2. Now there is a first teaser that seems to confirm a fan theory!
The immense success of the “Arcane” series, based on League of Legends, which was also highly praised by critics, more or less surprised everyone involved. Although a second season was quickly confirmed, it was still a long time coming. In November 2024 the time will finally come and Season 2 will be available on the streaming service Netflix – and now there is a first teaser clip.
On the occasion of the upcoming start of the 2024 season in League of Legends, Riot Games has now presented the first teaser, which you can watch below. Season 2 will continue the origin story of numerous iconic characters from League of Legends, including Vi, Jinx and Caitlyn.
In addition, the teaser also focuses on two other characters in particular: the 45-second clip shows the crazy scientist Singed, who appears to be carrying out an experiment under the influence of drugs. In the second part of the teaser, the video pans to a huge, chained wolf figure. This is almost certainly the character Warwick, known from League of Legends – and here (warning: spoiler!) a fan theory comes into play again.
Apparently, the teaser seems to confirm the theory that Vander, the father figure of Vi and Jinx, is not dead yet, as one might have thought in season 1. The character known from Zaun could rather have fallen victim to the Singed experiment, which turned him into the werewolf-like character Warwick due to the stimulants. Either way: Warwick will play a major role in season 2 of “Arcane”.
The comeback of the Netflix animated series is also being celebrated in League of Legends itself, because for the new season Ambessa Medard will come to the Summoners’ Rift as a playable champion; this made its first appearance in season 1 of the series. There will also be game mechanics based on “Arcane” and an update of a popular champion including new skins.
