Steam reviews are rarely so polarizing: 51 percent negative and 49 percent positive user tests are almost balanced in Kerbal Space Program 2. But even those who give the space game a green thumb up often associate their purchase recommendation with restrictions.
Because after years of being at the top of the wish lists of many Steam owners, Kerbal Space Program 2 is now disappointment about the state of the Early Access release all the greater. The KSP2 test by GameStar expert Wolfgang Rabenstein also found many problems of a technical nature, which you can see for yourself in the test video:

What are the Steam Reviews complaining about?
The criticisms of the users are often similar. Kerbal Space Program 2 is “simply not ready yet,” writes kllrnohj. “Half of what the game contains is bugged or completely broken.” Another user (name unavailable) wonders, “How did this situation come about in the modern game industry?”
Die bad performance in connection with the high system requirements is addressed again and again. As deathjdstn32 writes: »I can’t believe that the game is still running so poorly after more th an three years of development. They can’t use indie development as an excuse anymore because it’s a bigger team and they have a publisher behind them.«

The Europe player [GER]HamZta hopes for the future: »Currently I don’t recommend the game. It’s going to be great for sure, but it’s going to be a long time coming.« However, he also speaks comparatively for an Early Access game high price from 50 dollars, which according to developer Intercept Games should even increase again for the final release of version 1.0.
“In my opinion, the price for the current development is too high, since it does not correspond to the scope that was advertised for a long time,” complains [GER]HamZta. “I think […] too cheeky and the management should think about whether to reward all the endlessly waiting fans – early investment was rewarded with KSP1. I don’t feel that here.”
Are there also positive tones?
As already mentioned, are almost half of the current 7,000 Steam Reviews on Kerbal Space Program 2 positive. For example, Corvo writes: “People predict the end far too early. You can have a good time here, and it’s not hard to find. I think most people do after a few updates will have an easier time.« Even Wolfgang Rabenstein has fun with the successor after more than 1,000 hours with KSP1:
Highly praised are graphics, sound and atmosphere where, according to players, KSP2 has made great strides compared to its predecessor. User JuWol comments: »The game sees really great out of. The vehicle parts are very detailed and look very nice up close. The shadows and highlights look way better than in KSP1 and really stunning when in space.«
Justin writes, “Maybe I was very lucky, but I had a bug-free experience. My PC doesn’t even meet the minimum requirements and the game is playable for me. Is it 60 FPS? No. But it’s literally day two of a long Early Access process and I can still fly rockets at 15-40fps on a nine-year-old PC.” His conclusion: “KSP2 isn’t everything KSP1 is today, but it’s there it is an Early Access version, I don’t mind.«
