And it’s happened again: mountains of Diablo 4 material are currently being collected on the web that should have been kept under strict lockdown. As in September, hours of gameplay from the eagerly awaited action role-playing game leaked again shortly after the start of a closed test phase. This time the gameplay comes from the recently launched endgame beta.
The leaks are currently being shared regularly on Reddit, YouTube and Twitter. However, all these platforms are also busy trying to stop the distribution of such screenshots and videos. It is therefore currently difficult to estimate how much gameplay has ended up on the Internet.
The biggest gameplay leak available so far shows more than two hours of material from one stream – but in Chinese. The Reddit for Diablo 4 has also already announced that not allowing threads around the beta

What’s in the leaks?
As you would expect, the gameplay primarily features scenes from the Diablo 4 endgame. Story details are not revealed here. Instead, you can see how players level their characters by roaming dungeons and crushing hordes of enemies.
However, these scenes are not really insightful. After all, Blizzard has already revealed many details about the planned endgame, the classes and the shared world. We picked up most of it in a big preview. There was also a major gameplay leak a few weeks ago.

What do the testers say?
The game impressions of the selected beta testers are actually more exciting than the actual gameplay. On Reddit, some of these testers deliberately break their confidentiality to rave about their gaming experience.

Especially in the thread just linked, many users write that Diablo 4 should feel really good. However, it cannot be proven whether these are really current beta testers. So don’t necessarily take what is said at face value. But if they are real testers, they are definitely people with experience. Currently, only those who have already spent countless hours in Diablo 2, 3 or Immortal can enter the beta.
The user FacesOfAtheism describes his gaming experience as follows:
The fighting is so fluid and responsive. Diablo 3’s engine and combat system is unparalleled in my opinion, and Diablo 4 feels better from the get-go. The controls are tight and snappy. […] The talent tree is extremely complex. I like that Blizzard is bringing back deep and complex skill management. I can’t say much about other systems, but the core of the game (killing and moving) is buttery smooth and that should give people hope. Systems can be reworked, core gameplay stays forever.
But it won’t be long before more people are allowed to try out a Diablo 4 beta. Currently it seems that an open beta round is imminent in early 2023. The action RPG is also scheduled to appear in the same year.
What’s your opinion on all of this? Do you think the leaked impressions are promising or do you give little attention to such information? Feel free to write it in the comments! However, if you are playing the beta yourself, we strongly discourage sharing information that would break the signed NDA!
