The 4X Civilization saga has long lost the right to a new installment. But that was before.
L’excellent Civilization VI from the Firaxis studio is now from October 2016, which is already 7 years old. Enough years to add tons of content of all kinds, ranging from the gigantic expansion to the simple DLC that adds additional leaders. Did the community make it? Yes, according to the American studio.

Completely surprising the official Twitter account of the license civilization just unveiled this tweet that leaves no room for doubt. A new Civil is on the way.

So all we know is that it should be civilization vii. Heather Hazen, Head of Firaxis Game Studio, says:

Heather Hazen will replace Steve Martin as studio head. As Head of Studio, Hazen will lead the development teams at Firaxis Games and aims to “build the best strategy games in the world“. The other news is that the franchise XCOM and creative director from Marvel’s Midnight Sun, Jake Solomon is leaving the studio after more than 20 years of good and faithful service.
