The promising post-apocalyptic action RPG Biomutant made some headlines on the net recently, according to which the release could possibly be imminent, but now THQ Nordic has spoken out to clarify.
The post-apocalyptic action role-playing game Biomutant was announced at gamescom 2017, but we are still waiting for a release. The promising title has not yet officially missed a release window, as a recent headline surprised all the more.
It was said that the title by publisher THQ Nordic could now appear in the first quarter of 2021. That could be taken from a current financial report of the company. A release by March 31, 2021 would be more than surprising, considering that you haven’t heard anything for a long time and that the marketing machinery still has to be started. And so now follows a clarification!
In a correction, THQ Nordic now emphasizes that a release in the first quarter of 2021 is by no means on the plan. Rather, Biomutant is only planned for the company’s next fiscal year, which begins on April 1, 2021. It didn’t get any more specific, but at least one release in 2021 is by no means off the table.
It remains to be seen whether THQ Nordic will then decide to release it in the hot Christmas season. After all, they say themselves that Biomutant is “a publication of great importance” for the company.
