As of today, there are still two months left Overwatch 2 Released, if you’re hoping to jump into another beta test, you’ll be disappointed.
According to Blizzard VP Jon Spector, the studio doesn’t plan to offer a third beta before launch.
“We know players are eager to dive in and see questions about the possibility of a third public beta,” Spector tweeted. “While we will continue to test Overwatch 2 internally on a daily basis, we do not plan to conduct any additional public beta testing.”
The reason, Spector said, is that the team received enough “valuable feedback” from the alpha and two public beta tests. So instead of hosting a third tester, it will focus all its energy on launching the “best game” on October 4th.
Interested parties were able to beta test the game on PlayStation, Xbox and PC as early as June. Includes characters Sojourn and Junker Queen, and a new push mode. The map includes destinations such as New York, Rome, Monte Carlo and Rio.
Overwatch 2 will be released on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S. It will feature cross-progression and cross-play.
The first season of the game will feature Sojourn, Junker Queen and an unannounced support hero as well as a brand new 5v5 PvP experience. You can also look forward to redesigned heroes, new maps and modes, and a reimagined competitive experience.
