Blueberry is an upcoming story game about coping with trauma. Together with the main character, you will experience her memories from different periods of her life. Little by little, you will learn where Blueberry’s depression comes from and how she can put the pieces of her life back together. Both graphically and in terms of the melancholic mood, the gameplay trailer reminds us a little of the great Night in the Woods – even if there are people here instead of animals. You solve small puzzles and talk to people from Blueberry’s life, choosing your own answers. The game comes from the indie studio Mellow Games (and is therefore available with either Europe or English text) and is supported by the Film and Media Foundation NRW, among others. It will be presented at gamescom 2024 as part of the Indie Arena Booth and is scheduled to be released for PC (Steam), Nintendo Switch and Xbox. A release date has not yet been set.
