A cross-play function was recently announced for Borderlands 3, and the corresponding update has now been released. You can also look forward to a new event.
Gearbox Software has given the go-ahead for the longed-for cross-play update in Borderlands 3. The feature is – as announced – available on the platforms Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S, Mac, Stadia and PC (both Steam and Epic Games Store), but makes the PlayStation available for the moment for reasons not officially explained in more detail a bow.
In short: You can now play together with friends on all other platforms in the game, regardless of the platform. The official website of the game ready.
But that’s not all, because the seasonal event “Revenge of the Cartels” is also returning. In the most popular event of the game among fans, Joey Ultraviolet and his helpers return and the friendly Saurian Maurice asks you again to take out opponents of the cartel. These can be found in the areas from the base game as well as the campaign add-ons. If you defeat enough opponents, a portal will take you to the main event: the showdown against Joey Ultraviolet aka the gang boss of the Eridium cartel. During the course of the event, you can unlock a number of new cosmetic items.
Also new: You can now play all seasonal events with a special theme, whenever and for as long as you want. Via an option in the main menu you can choose which of the three events you want to activate or deactivate. Last but not least, the maximum level has also been raised to the new level 72.
