Shooter fans who continue to play Call of Duty: Modern Warfare first have to wait a few days longer until Season 2 begins the current part of the successful series. Infinity Ward has now officially confirmed that the current Season 1 will be extended by a few days.
The creators have now announced February 11, 2020 as the new end date for Season 1; this means that it runs a total of eight days longer than originally planned. This also means that anyone who has acquired the Battle Pass and is not yet through will have additional time to climb the missing levels and accordingly unlock the associated items.
Infinity Ward justified the step with the fact that in the first season they would like to publish further new content for the shooter, which should be published in the time window from now until February 11th. Such new content has also already been made public: a crossbow is to be made available as a new weapon as part of a challenge.
In addition, the creators plan to establish further challenges and remixes from game modes to the end of the season. There is also a Double Weapon XP promotion at the weekend.
