Before its release on March 10th, Warzone developers had to experience one info after another about Call of Duty's new Battle Royale mode. So no one was really surprised when it was officially announced. But apparently the developers are now showing self-irony with an Easter egg that you can find in Warzone.
The hidden message is not easy to see. But players with very good eyesight may be able to decipher the tiny f ont on one of the posted newspaper articles in Warzone. "Ex-employee sued for leak"
Did an employee leak Warzone himself?
Thanks to several major leaks on Reddit and YouTube, hardly anything was a secret to the release of Warzone. Activision finally took steps on Redditto find out the identity of those responsible and, if necessary, to sue them. In particular, they were interested in the account that published a poster for Warzone and thus got the ball rolling.
There was also speculation on Reddit that company employees could be responsible for the Warzone leaks themselves. That probably explains the newspaper article, which apparently indicates the incidents with a wink.
But whether it's a deliberate Easter egg or involuntary irony, the leaks don't seem to have done too much damage when you look at Warzone's 15 million players after just five days. Warzone is also well received by us in the editorial team: We are upgrading Modern Warfare by a few points in the test.
