The Phantom Liberty story DLC for Cyberpunk 2077 even surpasses The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine in terms of budget.
Sometime in 2023, Phantom Liberty will be the first and only story DLC for Cyberpunk 2077. And while we’re still waiting for a specific release date, we at least know: Phantom Liberty will be the most costly and therefore most expensive expansionwhich CD Projekt Red has been working on so far.
At least that’s what CD Projekt Red Investor Relations Manager Marek Bugdol reveals in an interview with the Polish magazine Parquet. Phantom Liberty is already breaking an internal studio record and even beats the excellent Blood and Wine expansion for The Witcher 3 in this regard.
We remember: When it comes to big story DLC, CD Projekt Red set some standards in the gaming industry. The Witcher 3 expansions Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine in particular are still among the best addons that we have been able to test at GameStar. The expectations for Phantom Liberty, which is due to appear in 2023 at a currently unknown date, are correspondingly high.
