Dave Bautista has long said that his time as Drax will be Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3but that doesn’t seem to mean he’s necessarily done with the MCU.
I’m not a wrestling fan, so I didn’t know about Bautista until he debuted in the original Guardians of the Galaxy. He turned out to be one of the best parts of the film, and he’s gone on to give some truly great performances since then – and it sounds like he has some lofty aspirations as well. In an interview with GQ last year, he expressed a sense of “relief” that his time as Drax was over, noting that “it’s a hard character to play… I just don’t know if I want Drax to be. My legacy — it was a goofy show and I wanted to do more dramatic things.” This clearly makes Bautista look like he’s ready to quit superhero movies, but in a recent interview, listen Up he was still willing to do it.

In an interview with Gizmodo, Bautista was asked about his previous comments in which he stated that he was no longer working with Marvel. “No, no. When I say I’m done, I’m really done with my journey as Drax,” Bautista explained. “I’m still connected to Marvel. I met Kevin Feige again, Lu [D’Esposito] Just two weeks ago. They knew I would be great in a role. I love this universe—the superhero universe, I love it. I’m a fan.
“So Marvel or DC, if they call, I’ll answer the phone. If the role makes sense, I’m all for it. I just hope there’s an opportunity to play a bigger character, a different character. Maybe deeper. Character “I would love the opportunity to play an ominous villain in the superhero universe. Yes. But never. I’m not done yet. But my journey with Drax is over. ”
Bautista’s character has changed a lot since “Guardians of the Galaxy.” For example, he stars in Studio Ghibli’s latest film, The Boy and the Heron, and also stars in Dune: Part 2, which will be released later this week, on February 29th. It is released in the UK and in the US on March 1st.
