I didn’t expect to put Resident Evil and Attack on Titan in the same title this morning, but behavioral interaction Know their audience clearly. Last night, during Dead by Daylight’s sixth anniversary livestream, BHVR revealed that players can expect a second Resident Evil chapter, Attack on Titan crossover, and Dead by Daylight-inspired dating sim.
During the fifth anniversary celebration, the first Resident Evil chapter of Dead by Daylight launched. A horror legend follows, with Leon S. Kennedy and Jill Valentine as the survivors and Nemesis as the killer. However, as part of the chapter, the map of the Raccoon City Police Department had various issues and was unavailable for a period of time after release.
Considering the overall success of the chapter, Dead by Daylight reached its peak player count during the chapter’s launch, and it’s no surprise that we’ll see more faces from Resident Evil soon. This is the first time Behaviour Interactive has released two chapters from the same series, and this time around, the chapter will be called “Project W.”

Project W can only mean one thing, and that’s the infamous Dr. Albert Wesker we meet throughout the series. That being said, Behavior Interactive has yet to confirm which characters we might see added to the game. So far, we only know it’s happening, and we can expect to see new survivors and killers from the legendary world of Resident Evil.
But that’s not all, as Dead by Daylight will also collaborate with Hajime Isayama’s anime Attack on Titan. This is the first time players have seen an anime crossover, and it feels pretty random to say the least. The collaboration consists entirely of Hitman and Survivor cosmetic items, and players will be able to recreate their characters, making them a fan favorite of Attack on Titan. We don’t yet know the full list of cosmetic items, but we do know that Oni will have the armored Titan skin, Dwight will be able to take the form of Eren, and Zarina will be able to disguise as Hange.
Dead by Daylight’s upcoming chapter, Roots of Fear, is out on June 7, 2022. As for the Resident Evil chapter, there’s no indication yet of a more specific release date than 2022. Although, we can assume it will come a few months after Root of Fear! Which Resident Evil characters would you like to see this time?
