You send your characters round after round to hunt, cook food, explore and more. In the evenings, the whole community gathers around the fire and you can listen to stories while rationing water and food. It doesn’t take long for the tyrant Björn Headcleaver to track you down and demand a weekly tribute from then on. The choice is yours: bend the knee or live with the consequences.
A clever mix of genres
Dead in Vinland is a turn-based survival game with a story and quests that are influenced by your choices. The strong background stories of the characters, which deal with serious topics such as kidnapping and abuse, among other things, bring narrative depth to the plot. Your characters have role-playing skills that help them survive and are used in turn-based 3v3 battles. You choose which of the 20 skills and 200 characteristics the characters should develop and use. Roguelike elements in the style of Darkest Dungeon are added to the exciting and complex mix. We awarded 79 points in the Dead in Vinland test.
