Anyone who has completed a Diablo IV campaign by this point and spent meaningful time in the post-campaign/endgame will be acutely aware of the game’s inventory sorting issues. Even setting aside the inventory size itself, the real problem is not being able to see exactly (quickly) what inventory you have.
This is perfectly demonstrated by how the game sorts aspects, affixes that drop on gear and can be extracted and stored to apply to different parts. Not only can each aspect drop a range of values, but they also have different levels depending on which item they drop first.
But what really makes finding what you have a nightmare is that you can never see what that aspect is at a glance. Since there’s no search option, you can’t type in what you want, nor can you filter out anything specific.
But at least until Blizzard offers an in-game solution, there’s hope. Now, we can use a tool from Reddit user GravelForce: D4 Aspect Tracker. The aptly named D4 Aspect Tracker is a simple database that lets you enter the aspects you own, then filter and search them.
It saves a copy of what you type in the browser so that you can load the page anytime and update it with new discoveries. You can have multiple facets of the same, and filter facets available for each different class in and out of Codex.
Best of all, the “Limit Possession” feature means you’ll never wonder what you’ve/haven’t unlocked or discovered yet. The search bar is also great as it lets you type in the skills or boosts you want and it will show the aspects that offer them without having to remember the full name.
GravelForce released the website code on GitHub, and they asked designers to help design the appearance of the website. It’s ready to use now, but definitely needs some artist-style user love for the UI.
