- Complete all 37 bonus battles
- Fulfill Zen’ô’s requests
Dragon Ball Sparking Zero is a generous title. At launch, players can enjoy two-thirds of the playable characters. However, there is still about a third to unlock, and the game doesn’t directly tell you how to get there. Don’t panic, we’ve listed the different ways to collect them as well as their outfits here.
Shop in store but…
The most obvious way to acquire characters in Sparking Zero is obviously to go to the store and buy them directly. Right from the start you’ll find a selection of characters, including the coveted Goku Ultra Instinct. To buy more characters in the store, all you have to do is advance in Episode Mode to expand the range. The same applies to outfits that are unlocked in the store via story mode before they can be purchased.
When it comes to character recovery, this method has its limitations as you quickly find yourself chasing after Zenis. Unfortunately, when it comes to outfits, you have no choice but to stroll through the store. Fortunately, here we offer you solutions to quickly restore as many Zenis as possible. So instead of spending money on purchasing characters, you simply unlock them through different game modes, as we’ll see.
Episode Mode Progression
First, Episode mode allows you to unlock characters by completing battles and completing storylines. Often these characters are related to what you just did. For example, completing the Cell arc with Gohan unlocks Bojack since Gohan defeated him as a teenager, while Zamasu’s transformations are unlocked through progression in Black Goku’s story mode.
Over and beyond, When you complete Goku’s Episode Mode, you unlock a large portion of the characters that you can purchase in the shop. In any case, you’re better off completing Episode Mode for all characters
Win world championships
Like every Dragon Ball fighting game, Sparking Zero allows you to participate in tournaments inspired by the manga and anime. We find our own rules. Beyond the fun of participating, these tournaments primarily offer the opportunity to unlock characters linked to their adaptation in the anime. Here are some examples of characters you can unlock by completing these tournaments:
- World Cup = Son Goku (Teen)
- Cell Game = Cell Junior
- Afterlife Championship = Super Gogeta (Z)
- Tournament of Destroyers = Frost
- Tournament of Power = Agnilasa
- Yamcha games = Saibaman
To make your life easier, We recommend that you set the difficulty level to “easy”.
Complete all 37 bonus battles
In Custom Battle mode, players can create their own story and share it with other players online. If we can’t wait to see all the possible creations, the developers have developed around thirty so-called “bonus” battles to show what their tool is capable of. The good news is that if you complete a bonus battle with a character you don’t have, you have a chance of getting this too.I. For our part, we led the fight between Gohan and Thales and that’s how we got the latter back.
Fulfill Zen’ô’s requests
Finally, The final solution to unlock characters is to complete Zen’ô’s requests. In this tab, you will see a small icon on the top left of the mission cards that shows you the rewards you will receive if you are successful. Sometimes it might be a character, but Be careful not to confuse this symbol with that of the characters’ monetary titles which are obtained by increasing a character’s mastery. We tell you this, but usually these titles only affect characters you already have. So if you have an icon of a character you don’t already have, grab it!
