Half a year after the release of Dragon’s Dogma 2, another update has been released that improves the game and makes your life easier.
Didn’t get to grips with Dragon’s Dogma 2, whether because of the difficulty or the bugs? Then it might be worth giving it another try, because Capcom has released a comprehensive patch for the game.
In addition to a long list of bug fixes, crash fixes and CPU load optimization, there is one new feature in particular, namely the “Easy Mode” or, in plain English, “Casual Mode”. This mode is intended to make your life a little easier, but be careful: once selected, you cannot go back to normal mode with the same save game status. In addition, some achievements cannot be earned in easy mode.
The “Easy Mode” includes the following features:
-
Lower costs for staying in a guest house.
-
Lower costs for travel stones.
-
Weight carried is less frequently “heavy” or “very heavy”.
-
Running outside of combat consumes less stamina.
-
The casualty bar does not increase if you choose “Load from last save point” after the Awakened dies.
-
Vassals recover from Dragon Plague without suffering any “terrible calamity”, even if the symptoms reach a fatal stage.
Apart from that, there are also some revisions to the careers. Some classes such as fighters, archers and magicians are getting noticeable buffs. There is also talk of a noticeable improvement in the frame rate in areas with many NPCs, one of the sticking points of the main game, which at the time even caused players to kill the NPCs just to improve the frame rate.
