The sports streaming service Dyn focuses primarily on sports other than football. The channel broadcasts the highest German leagues in handball and basketball, among others. The company’s goal is to make people aware of these leagues by means of high-quality broadcasts.

In order to make the broadcasts more innovative, the broadcaster is launching a new analysis mode. This is intended to make game events even more understandable and informative. For example, you have direct access to goals, throws or general game data. We will explain what the analysis mode can do and how you can use it.

The analysis mode on Dyn

The analysis mode uses data from external service providers and enters it into the Dyn transmission. The new function will initially only be used in the Liqui Moly HBL, 2. HBL and EHF Champions League as well as the easyCredit BBL. According to the company, other sports will follow soon. Currently, you can only access the data on tablets, PCs, notebooks and smartphones, not on smart TVs.

On supported devices, it will be displayed directly in the sidebar after the game starts. You can find out which individual areas there are in analysis mode below.

Comment

In this section, all the important events of the game are listed chronologically. These include goals, saves, substitutions and 7-meter shots. If you want to repeat the scene again, simply click on the corresponding comment. This saves you the annoying task of searching for specific actions.

Lineups

Here, as the name suggests, you can see the lineups of both teams. This will help you better understand which players are currently on the pitch. You will also get information about goals scored, cards and penalties received, and substitutions.

Team Statistics

In the team statistics section you can see all the important data about the game. In handball, this overview includes saves, 7-meter goals, field goals, steals, shot effectiveness, yellow cards and red cards.

In basketball games, you also get player statistics in analysis mode, which provide you with specific information about each player.
