The Gold Scarab is an item that will be very profitable for your adventure on Elden Ring, especially when you kill monsters in a chain! We explain below where and how to find it and take advantage of it to stock up on runes.

To recover this talisman you will need to walk around Caelid and ideally unlock the campfire Caelem Ruins (Shown in the screenshots above).
Head southeast from this campfire. The goal is to reach the location indicated on the map as in the screenshot. Once there, look down to see the (well-hidden) entrance to a cave. Take out your mount and double jump to reach it.
Once inside, remember to unlock the campfire. Then you have to go to the boss. The great difficulty of this cave is that you will succumb scarlet while strolling. It is therefore important to plan a lot of care … or to act quickly. We opted for the second option. We made a video to show you how to get to the boss quickly without stopping.
The boss begins his fight alone, but is soon joined by an acolyte who sends holy spells. Use your favorite summon and focus on the one that specializes in melee attacks. Luckily, he takes heavy attacks badly and has low hit points. Then finish the other, and then you get that gold beetle !
What is the gold scarab used for?
The Goldbug is simply excellent when it comes to chaining enemies. It brings a net 20% bonus to rune level, making it a holy ally for Earn as many runes as possible ! So try to keep it equipped as much as possible!
