House of the Dragon is the first spin-off in a long line. There’s already a Jon Snow character project that’s going well and other things that are going differently. And if some have been put away in the closet, nothing says they won’t be coming out for years to come. After all, Game of Thrones father George RR Martin is heading into his own MCU with his saga he’s still working on. Much to the chagrin of fans, the final book is still being written.
