That was quite a journey. Almost finished, then postponed again (thanks, Bethesda). But now Fallout: London, the total conversion to Fallout 4, is finally available.
Th ings went much more smoothly than expected with Fallout: London. The extensive modification of Fallout 4 was actually supposed to be released a long time ago, but Bethesda threw a wrench in the modders’ plans with the next-gen upgrade, so the release had to be postponed again and again.
And even now there is still a catch, because Fallout: London is not compatible with the new next-gen version. Not yet, at least, but the mod developers didn’t want to wait any longer.
But enough rambling, because the time has come. Fallout: London has finally been released and is Download from GOG available – free of charge, of course. And to match that, Fallout 4 is currently available with a 60 percent discount if you don’t already have it.
Why GOG? Fallout: London is simply such a large project that most mod sites like NexusMods cannot host the files. It also has the advantage that GOG’s mod version has been thoroughly tested, so you can be sure that it is compatible with version 1.10.163.0 of the GOTY edition from Steam or GOG. GOG will provide you with the corresponding version, but you will have to downgrade manually from Steam.
Fallout: London also comes with an installer, so you only need to install the version of Fallout 4: Game of the Year Edition and don’t have to mess around with any mod files. If everything works, you’ll have a new Fallout game with its own story, new environments in London, voiced characters, and new weapons, factions, and gameplay elements. Have fun.
