Released last April and exclusively through the Apple Arcade subscription service, Fantasian made a strong impression on critics and gamers. Today the main designer, the famous Hironobu Sakaguchi, gives us details on the continuation of his latest mobile phone.

With Fantasian, Hironobu Sakaguchi has reconnected with the genre that established him at Square Enix, namely the good old turn-based J-RPG

. Under the banner of his own studio, Mistwalker, Sagakuchi has previously launched two other productions, Terra Battle and Terra Battle 2, which achieved modest success before returning to his teenage loves.

Available since April 2021 on Apple Arcade, the first part of Fantasian received critical acclaim, as well as in our columns, which only raised expectations about the second part.

May those who tried the game under their subscription have the peace of mind Hironobu Sakaguchi has just given comforting news about the development of the second part of the game.

To mark the occasion, the latter shared a very short tweet to announce that the second part is almost finished. In the columns of. however, it was louder Famitsuin which he explained :

The second part of Fantasian is almost finished. This part is twice the size of the first and exceeded our expectations. The boss monsters there are also unique and difficult. The peculiarity of Mistwalker’s game lies above all in the design of its surroundings. From dioramas, a kind of presentation model created by Japanese artists, they are scanned and transformed into game environments, so that they serve as realistic backgrounds in which the characters develop.

Fantasian is available on Apple Arcade and could be the last production by Hironobu Sakaguchi, but also that of the famous Nobuo Uetmasu, who may be signing his last complete soundtrack here.
