Super mario 64 is one of the most iconic classics in the world of video gamesAnd it could return in a remake for the Nintendo Switch on our favorite plumber's 35th birthday. But despite being quite old, users still play Super Mario 64 as if it were the first time. Some even dedicate themselves to studying it in depth, as is the case we tell you here.
This game was released almost 25 years ago, and during that time an error in the game deprived us of an experience in Super Mario 64, or rather, it distorted it. It turns out that the smoke that Mario gives off when he comes into contact with the fire reaches 25 years glittered, and it was not until 2020 that Zoinknoise, from Romhacking has managed to fix it.
Haha, what the heck. Thanks to the Super Mario 64 code disassembly it's been discovered that the smoke Mario emits when he's touched fire has been bugged for 20 years. On the left: how it looks in the final game. On the right: after a one-line code fix. https://t.co/JenizzKeFh pic.twitter.com/Jb2Ryg2lwx

It took the world 25 years to solve such a simple mistake that few people had realized.
