Former Nintendo President Reggie Fils-Aimé announced a new podcast with Harold Goldberg.
The podcast was announced through the Go Fund Me page, referred to simply as "a conversation game with Reggie and Harold," and will run alongside non-profit organizations in the circle of video game critics in New York.
"The dialogue game with Reggie and Harold will have seven unique podcasts with former Nintendo President Reggie Phillips Emmy and award-winning writer / journalist Harold Goldberg, "The official statement said. "The donation will benefit the guidance of nonprofit organizations in the New York video game critic circle during the COVID-19 period."
"Reggie is a member of the NYVGCC board and Harold is the president of the organization."
The program aims to bring gaming lessons to homeless high school students in New York City. The mission statement reads: "Although everyone is hit to some extent by this terrible COVID-19 virus, the Bronx is the hardest hit and the worst-serving communities still need our help," the mission statement Say. "No community is hit harder than students of homeless shelters. They live in complex situations in the best of circumstances. Even if they are connected to a WiFi hotspot, they are in trouble. These are what we need Communities. These are the communities we want to help. "
Obviously, the anchor podcast will be provided for free, but people who donate in various identities can use various additional functions. According to ResetEra, these include:
- Have the opportunity to ask Reggie questions.
- Reward podcast content, including longer interviews in podcasts, and audio not available in new podcasts.
- An exclusive private auction of various video game souvenirs can be conducted from the vaults of NYVGCC members, such as Nintendo Power magazine signed by Shigeru Miyamoto.
- The first chapter (audiobook) of Harold Goldberg ’s novel was inspired to some extent by Rockstar Games ’L.A. Noire and Grand Theft Auto IV.
- DreamYard project in the Bronx: Provide guidance, internships, workshops, job information and university scholarships for smart but underserved students.
- The news class in "Henry Street Settlement: New York Video Game Critics Circle" also brings gaming education to community events.
- The Senior Planet Technology Center in the Chelsea area of Manhattan provides guidance and counseling for senior technical services (O.A.T.S.).
- The New York Public Library System and the American Museum of Natural History panels: discussions about game work, game history, and how games bring people together.
