Game news Fortnite: Epic Games would have signed a partnership with a giant of the cinema, new collaborations key!
A new leak came this weekend to give us an indication of possible future collaborations in Epic Games’ Battle Royale. For such an event, the American game publisher would have teamed up with a giant in the cinema industry to expand its possibilities in terms of new character skins.
With the introduction of Chapter 3, Epic Games’ Battle Royale ended upside down. For its part, however, the publisher stuck to its ideas, especially with regard to collaborations. On the fringes of the mission, the presence of certain personalities like Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson or characters like Spider-Man heated up the debates about possible future collaborations within Fortnite.
The game that could also benefit from a whole new game mode in more or less the near future, recently revealed an unprecedented collaboration a few hours before the new year begins. After a year of crossovers, Epic Games actually seems determined to be as strong in terms of collaborations as the recent leak around the game would prove.
An increasingly rich universe thanks to Paramount
It all started with a podcast from the XboxEra site. During a conversation with Nick Baker, co-founder of the site and well-known insider of the industry operating under the pseudonym Shpeshal_Nick, The latter mentioned the likely signing of a contract between Epic Games and Paramount to incorporate the characters from the production company’s catalog into Fortnite

I was told that Paramount appeared to have signed a deal with Epic to bring real estate to Fortnite. The one I’d heard about, the main one, was about the arrival of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in Fortnite which would be amazing. (…) That is the most important thing for me.
According to Nick Baker, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles could join the Battle Royale in the near future. If it is initially the intellectual property of the American chain Nickelodeon, it is one of the companies that have been taken over by Paramount’s parent company, ViacomCBS.
So it’s more than a license in particular, it’s a larger catalogconsisting of franchises like Avatar, the last airbender, The legend of Korra, South park, Spongebob, Star Trek and many others, that could benefit Epic Games. As of now, either actor has not yet formalized this unprecedented partnership, but according to the words of Nick Baker, who is generally well-informed, their connection could soon be discussed.
