Elden Ring hasn’t even gathered dust yet, so it could soon have competition from its own house. Another title from From Software is said to be well advanced.
The Japanese magazine 4Gamer sat down with From Software boss Hidetaka Miyazaki for an interview and a lot came out of it. It is already clear that the studio will continue to provide Elden Ring with updates. What exactly awaits us there remains to be seen. There was no talk of real DLCs, but that doesn’t mean that From Software will pack one or the other new quest line into the game.
In any case, Miyazaki is dedicated to new projects. One of those might not be that far away, because as Miyazaki says, there’s already an unannounced new game in the final stages of development. The new project was already in the works alongside Elden Ring. Exactly what that means remains to be seen. “In the final stages” can mean many things.
Rumors have been circulating on the internet for a l ong time that From Software is working on a new Armored Core and that it has come a long way. It is quite possible that this is what the new game means. Until there are concrete announcements, you can speculate happily.
Based on a job ad on Twitter, the studio seems to be working on several projects anyway. In it, developers are wanted for almost all areas, including formulating ideas and designing the core components of a game. The word “mecha” also appears in a tender for character designers, which in turn speaks for the Armored Core.
