In the past month of March, the German games association game was once again able to present two sales awards – and GTA is already on the road to success again.
Month after month, the gaming association game in Germany honors particularly successful titles with the game Sales Award. In March, two titles broke important sales marks again and were therefore considered.
Gran Turismo 7 for the PlayStation was more successful for this duo. The latest part of the successful series from Polyphony Digital has meanwhile been sold more than 200,000 times in local areas and therefore receives the game Sales Award in platinum. Reaching this mark so quickly is remarkable in that Gran Turismo 7 was only released on March 4th – and thus only at the beginning of last month.
The new part successfully celebrates the 25th anniversary of the racing game simulation. The title features over 400 cars from more than 60 manufacturers.
And another brand that literally stands for success is also doing well again. The Definitive Edition of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy has meanwhile broken the 100,000 sales mark in Germany – despite all the initial criticism of the remaster. The bundle includes upgraded versions of GTA 3, GTA: Vice City and GTA: San Andreas, but it did have some issues. Still breaking the 100,000 sales mark earns Rockstar Games a gold game Sales Award.
