The German Computer Game Award 2022 was broadcast yesterday evening and the winners have now been determined. The top hit Elden Ring was awarded the best international game. You can find out all the other winners here!
For the first time since 2019, the winners of the German Computer Game Award were able to receive their awards live on site last night – a circumstance that was not possible in recent years due to the corona pandemic. Accordingly, yesterday’s award ceremony in Munich, moderated by Uke Bosse, was something special for the participants for that reason alone. But it didn’t work entirely without Corona, because co-moderator Katrin Bauerfeind has currently tested positive and could only be switched on.
Of course, a total of 800,000 dollars in prize money was distributed. Chorus from Deep Silver Fishlabs and Koch Media was able to win the title of the best German game. The most prominent winner in the international category, however, was the action epic Elden Ring.
