Fusiliers: Dawn Siegethe upcoming Souslike from livid developer A44has been postponed to 2024.
A44 announced the game’s delay on its official Twitter account last week, explaining why the decision was made in a small post. “We want to keep our fans updated on the latest developments on Flintlock: Siege of Dawn,” the post began. “In order to give Flintlock the absolute best possible experience at launch, we’ve decided to delay the game’s release until 2024.

“We’ve worked hard to create a unique and richly detailed open world filled with exciting combat, rewarding exploration and a real sense of discovery. It’s important to our entire team that the Flintlock is a special experience, and we We owe it to ourselves and to everyone who’s been following the game since we declared it to be the most impressive and memorable.”
The post also shared that the team has a lot of “exciting things to show” and more updates are coming soon. We did get to see the game in action at Gamescom last year, and with this year’s event taking place in August, there’s always the possibility that it will be shown again.
Flintlock is quite different from A44’s first game, Ashen, at least visually, as the game has a more stylized look (though both are clearly in the Souls-like genre). One big difference between the two is that, as A44 told us in an interview last year, Flintlock won’t feature online co-op like Ashen. Instead of co-op, you’re teamed up with a fox-like creature called Enki, who fights alongside you, so you’re never alone on your journey.
Whenever Flintlock releases in 2024, you’ll be able to play it on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
