God of War, Ragnarok made the rounds in November, and it swept the Game Awards. For those of you who can’t get enough of Kratos and are no doubt rewatching the original trilogy or crying at the end credits, there’s some good news.
Sony Santa Monica has finally confirmed that New Game Plus will be joining God of War Ragnarok. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to replay the adventure in NG+ over Christmas, but you won’t have long to wait, either.
Sony Santa Monica announced via a tweet, “We know many of you have been asking, so we’re happy to confirm that New Game Plus is coming to God of War and Ragnarok in Spring 2023!” Those looking forward to the game’s second or third playthrough will hear more in early 2023.

All the information we have right now is confirmation from Sony Santa Monica, and the team says it will share more details about the upcoming game mode closer to launch.
God of War (2018) has its own New Game Plus mode, adding another difficulty option and new armor sets, amulets, spells, and abilities for players to try. So, hopefully the NG+ for Ragnarok is similar.
Let’s also not lose sight of the fact that since the release of God of War, Ragnarok has added various additional features, including a photo mode.
I’m not a God of War fan, but I can imagine it might be nice to have these options at launch. Regardless, it’s great to see Sony Santa Monica continuing to improve the gaming experience for players who haven’t had the chance to try it out yet.
Are you looking forward to God of War NG+? Or you haven’t played the game yet? let us know.
