After the uproar caused by the departure of Henry Cavill, the Netflix series The Witcher seems to have more or less gotten back on its feet as the end draws ever closer.
The fourth season of the Netflix series The Witcher, in which Liam Hemsworth plays the role of Geralt of Rivia, is just around the corner. Filming, which began last April, seems to be well underway and the SVoD platform apparently already has a (more or less) clear idea of what The Witcher will be like in its fifth and final season.

Despite a gradually colder reception over the course of the seasons of The Witcher series and a final blow to fans with the departure of Henry Cavill, Netflix is not going to dismantle it. About half of the eight episodes of the fourth season have already been shot. Liam Hemsworth (Geralt), Anya Chalotra (Yennefer) and Freya Allan (Ciri) were actually seen on stage with their new costumes, which from the outset were intended to be a reference to the costumes of The Witcher games. The next season is therefore scheduled to be released in 2025.
We already know that part of the beginning of the latter will be devoted to justifying the change of actor for Geralt. In fact, the scriptwriters used another character from Andrzej Sapkowski’s novels to explain the reason for this, more or less respectfully. The first leaked scene of Liam Hemsworth with white hair showed him again in his very painful fight against the wizard Vilgefortz.
In any case, Netflix has wasted no time in continuing the adventures of the White Wolf. The scenario for the fifth season would actually already be written, with a few touch-ups, all still directed by Lauren Schmidt Hissrich. But will viewers be there for the fourth season and then the fifth and final season? Or will the series be swept away by a period of contempt that has hung over its head like the sword of fate since the departure of Henry Cavill? Answer when season 4 will be broadcast on Netflix, most likely in 2025.
