The wait for the first multiplayer test in Halo Infinite could soon be over; the starting shot should be imminent.
The new Halo Infinite should cause a sensation this autumn, but (selected) players should be able to get an idea of the game in advance. 343 Industries is subjecting the Xbox hopefuls to test runs – and a first such multiplayer test is now apparently imminent.
The team has now published the latest update “Inside Infinite” on the official website and is preparing players for the first technology test. This should also focus on the Halo Waypoint Companion for mobile and web as well as menu navigation for the Battle Pass interface, challenges and customization.
The program also includes testing multiplayer bots in the bot arena playlist. Here four players compete against four bots in arena maps. The technology test should include three maps with Bazar, Recharge and Live Fire, and the four bot variants Recruit, Marine, ODST and Spartan are on board, each with different skill levels.
The team plans new content on a daily basis as the test progresses; the bots should change and improve during the test phase. While players should still be able to acclimate themselves at the beginning, the bots should pose a noticeably greater challenge in the further course.
Halo Insiders can take part in the test on PC and Xbox. A specific start date has not yet been announced, but it has been suggested that the technology test could start “next weekend”.
