Halo Infinite has been available for two years now and parts of the community are eagerly waiting for fresh campaign supplies. Is this actually coming? The developers at 343 Industries have now commented on this.
Unfortunately, anyone waiting for a fresh campaign DLC for Halo Infinite will have to be strong, as 343 Industries is apparently not planning one for the action game. At least that’s what a new statement from Community Director Brian “Ske7ch” Jarrard suggests, who has now taken up the issue in order to possibly clarify it once and for all.
In an Xcast podcast from Kinda Funny Games, Jarrard was there to talk and touched on many topics related to Halo Infinite. Regarding a possible campaign DLC, he said without much room for interpretation: “I’ll be honest: we have nothing to announce today in terms of any campaign content for Halo Infinite. I’ll even go one step further and tell you here that we’re working on this “We don’t have anything actively in development at the front.”
New single-player content on the Halo Infinite campaign front is obviously no longer to be expected. Instead, 343 Industries is concentrating more on “further improving the multiplayer product”.
Above all, more multiplayer content for Halo Infinite can be expected from 343 Industries in the future. The studio recently released “Firefight: King of the Hill” for the game. According to Jarrard, the development studio could at least make new PvE modes available via Forge in the future. For the time being, the best chances for a new story campaign in the Halo universe are likely to be with a completely new game in the series.
