Helldivers 2’s patch has been coming for a while now, with players asking and being gently told to calm down and be patient. Now we know it’s finally set to arrive this Thursday, marking the start of Arrowhead’s approach to updates in the same way it did with War Bonds.
Yes, stop downloading mods that let you wear Fallout’s T-60 power armor while killing robots, and stop browsing PS blogs imagining you’ll be wearing a beret soon. A patch is coming soon.

Arrowhead just announced on Twitter: “Helldivers, the next patch is coming Thursday,” which means the date you need to mark on your calendar is June 13. “You may have noticed that we’ve slowed down our patch release cadence,” it continues, “similar to what we’ll be doing with Warbonds going forward, so that we can devote more time to each patch to reduce pressure on our team, learn more about your feedback, and deliver higher quality patches.”
“We’re very aware that going from fast, small patches to slow, large patches means your expectations are higher. While we think the next patch is strong, with a ton of bug fixes and requested features, we’re definitely not resting on our laurels or becoming complacent,” it added, thanking players for supporting the change.

If you’re wondering what makes the next patch so “powerful,” Arrowhead provided some information via a meme attached to the first tweet in the thread. Upcoming changes include “visible supply lines and attack sources,” restoration of patrols and spawn rates, and the addition of “invite-only lobbies.” Also on the list of more than 100 changes and fixes is an “infinite grenade fix” and one of the sixth-level super samples.
Well, that’s it for now. Be sure to check back with us regularly for updates on Hellraiser 2’s galactic war, and to find out why we think the soldiers of Super Earth should be interested in Starship Troopers: Extinction.
