Sony releases final trailer Uncharted territorywill be released exclusively on February 11.
Directed by Ruben Fleischer, the film is based on a screenplay by Rafe Judkins, Art Markum and Matt Holloway, and features Tom Holland, Mark Wahlberg, Starring Sofia Ali, Tati Gabriel and Antonio Banderas.
In it, Nathan Drake (Tom Holland) is recruited by treasure hunter Victor “Sully” Sullivan (Mark Wahlberg) to recover a man who was killed 500 years ago. The wealth accumulated by the lost Ferdinand Magellan of the Carda family.
What started out as a heist job quickly turned into a round-the-world contest to grab a prize before bad guy Santiago Moncada (Antonio Banderas) as he claims he and his family are legitimate for the treasure heirs.
If Nate and Sully are to find $5 billion worth of treasure, possibly even Nate’s long-lost brother, they’ll need to decipher clues and solve this ancient mystery.
The film has been in production in some form since 2008. Zombieland: Double Tap’s Ruben Fleischer is directing the film, the seventh and final director on the project.
Filming began in March 2020, but was quickly shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but resumed in July.
The Uncharted movie was originally scheduled to hit theaters on December 18, 2020, until director Travis Knight left the project on March 5, 2021. The coronavirus pandemic pushed its release to October 8, 2021, then to July 16, 2021, and then again to February 2022.
