Let fans of board games rejoice: after several collaborations with Lego in particular, Blizzard has announced a release window for the first official board game of World of Warcraft.
The strategy game will offer players to compete to conquer Azeroth using a variety of cards obviously from the famous MMORPG, like the Pandaren Masters of the Portals and Goblins Herbalists. The gameplay mechanics of the game have been adapted to integrate properly into the board game, in collaboration between the two publishers.
A part of Small World of Warcraft can be played between 2 to 5 players, the games lasting between 40 and 80 minutes. There will be a rule book read carefully (those who like to "optimize", we see you) with a variant available. Here is a picture of all its content!
For connoisseurs, Days of Wonder has notably published Les Aventuriers du Rail, the best-selling train game in the world, Small World or even Mmoire 44. It has also published digital versions of its board games.
The official price has not been announced, but it is said to be around € 60. It will be available in French and 10 other languages.
