- Aviso: spoilers de Starfield
Space exploration is highly romanticized and often compared to great discoveries, but franchises like Dead Space, Alien y Warhammer 40K We have been taught that the universe is a cruel and merciless creature. Bethesda did not fall short in this aspect when creating Starfield and more especially Broken Space.
I’ll always feel lucky to have found two of the nine or ten alternate universes you can find when doing New Game+. And one of them is one of the shadiest and most disconcerting you can find. The community usually calls him Solo VASCO, although I personally like to call him the Last Survivor.
And what happens in this universe? The Lodge is completely empty, except for VASCO, when you first arrive. It’s quite shocking. The robot tells you that The Hunter has killed all the members, but that he was able to hide the Artifacts in time. Furthermore, he adds that he cannot be your companion because he must take care of the Lodge.
The experience in this universe was very interesting. It taught me how expendable the Lodge is in the adventure. I admit that I didn’t last long in this game because my intention was to prepare for Broken Space, but I would give anything for it to be my turn again, to send VASCO away and explore the universe. The Lodge would not exist and absolutely nothing would tie me to the main mission. Has it ever happened to you? What would you do if it happened?
