Those who are considering playing final fantasy 16 Whenever your PC boots up, you need to make sure you have an SSD in your device.
Back in September, when DLC for Final Fantasy XVI was announced, a PC port was finally revealed to be in development (that’s what everyone knew, anyway). We still don’t know when the previously PS5 exclusive game will launch on PC, or even what specs will be needed to run it, but in a recent interview with Famitsu, producer Naoki Yoshida did confirm that it’s coming to PC one thing. At the very least: you need an SSD. As translated by PCGamesN, Yoshida talked about the PC version, saying: “Details will be announced in due course. However, I hope you will prepare an SSD. Even if we try our best to tune the GPU, in Final Fantasy 16, loading speed is crucial For important games, the hard drive will be a pain.

“Of course, we will try our best to optimize, but hardware alone cannot overcome it, so please consider that SSD is a must. We will announce specific recommended specifications on other occasions.”
For those unfamiliar with the differences between HDDs and SSDs, the latter are faster because they read data digitally, making it easier to run big, flashy games. However, because they perform better and are generally more expensive per gigabyte than HDDs, many PCs don’t have built-in hard drives. It’s no surprise considering how visually intense Final Fantasy XVI is as a game. You’ll probably need an SSD, although this may obviously be a bit of a letdown for those hoping to try out the game on a slightly older device.
In the same interview, Yoshida also said that you probably shouldn’t expect a sequel to Final Fantasy XVI.
