Sales: the Acer Nitro 15″ with RTX 3060 and Intel i5 is under $1000!
With its classic 15.6-inch form factor, the Nitro 5 is based on a classic FHD IPS display with a brightness of 250 nits. Perfect for movies, office automation and gaming, this panel will also appeal to fans of eSports-oriented titles thanks to its 144Hz refresh rate. This display is powered by an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 graphics card with 6GB GDDR6, which should allow you to run any recent triple-A at 1080p and 60fps without sacrificing graphics options.
At the heart of the case is an Intel Core i5-10300H processor equipped with 4 cores with hyperthreading (that is, 8 threads) clocked at 2.5 GHz and capable of reaching up to 4.5 GHz in boost mode . The chip is supported by 16 GB DDR4. Note that a total of up to 32GB of RAM can be installed, but both slots are occupied, meaning you cannot restore the installed SODIMMs. At the storage level, the Nitro 5 continues the tradition with a 512GB M.2 SSD.
In terms of ports, the Nitro is quite right on the sides with 1 RJ45 port, an HDMI 2.0 output, a USB Type-C port, two USB 3.2 ports, as well as the traditional 3.5mm audio jack generously. At the wireless level, the Nitro integrates a Bluetooth 5.1 module as well as a Wi-Fi 6 card, a guarantee of high speeds. Video conferencing enthusiasts will be pleased to know that the PC comes with a 720p webcam and built-in microphone. Finally, a pair of speakers tops it all off.
Like most 15-inch gaming monitors, the Nitro 5 is more portable than portable, as at 2.3kg on the scale without an AC adapter it’s hard to forget in your backpack. Note that the PC comes with Windows 11 already installed and as a bonus you are entitled to an Xbox Game Pass subscription code for a period of one month.
