Bethesda has shelved the development of the free card game The Elder Scrolls: Legend for the foreseeable future.
This means that it will soon be extended to The Elder Scrolls: Legend, Planned for release in winter, will not be released.
Despite shelving future developments, the company guarantees that the game will remain playable.
Developers will continue to support the game with monthly reward cards and regular in-game events.
This is the official announcement from Bethesda, which has been posted on the official reddit forum.
We want to provide legend updates on new content. Our previous roadmap indicates that we will release more versions this year. We have decided to suspend any new content development or distribution for the foreseeable future. This decision will not affect the release and development of GAEA's Asian version of Legend in any way. "Legend" runs separately, but will provide the basis for our decisions on content and feature development.
Until then, you can still download and play Legends on all existing platforms, as well as online competition and single-player modes. We will also continue to support the game with monthly reward cards and regular in-game events. However, new extensions and other future content are no longer under active development. We will continue to provide ongoing maintenance support.
To thank everyone for their support for Legends over the past few years and for continuing to work with us, we will give The Tamriel Collection to all players for free next time, including various new three-attribute cards, and more. We are very grateful for your participation in The Elder Scrolls: Legend. We hope you will become a community. We sincerely thank you for your love and support.
The card game was first released in E3 in 2015, but was postponed to 2016. It was co-developed with Dire Wolf Digital and is available for PC, iPad and Android. It must also appear on the console.
