As is well known, Dragami Games has been working on a remake of Lollipop Chainsaw for some time. Apart from the announcement, there was no news for a long time, but now we’ve been hit with a double blow with a fresh trailer and the release date.
Lollipop Chainsaw was released in 2012, a title that often resembled a fever dream. No wonder, since Suda51 and James Gunn were largely responsible for the game’s design. But the crowd favorite has now become quite old and Dragami Games has decided to develop a remake.

It has the meaningful name Lollipop Chainsaw: RePOP and until now we didn’t really know much more about it. But now there is not only a first trailer that shows numerous gameplay scenes and which you can find under this news. We have even been given a release date of September 25, 2024.
The worldwide release is planned for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch and PC via Steam. Japanese players can even look forward to physical versions on PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch. The latter will also offer German voice output if you collect games and want to access them.
Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP will feature the two popular language versions from the original, and according to Suda51, you can switch between the versions. The creative mind is not involved in the remake himself. There are also some quality-of-life improvements and graphical upgrades.
But Dragami Games isn’t skimping on new content either. New chainsaws are promised, for example. In the “Real Time Attack” mode, you can also test your speed and compete with other players.
