Apparently something is happening again in terms of remastered. There are increasing signs that at least Mafia II is being revised and Mafia III is also under discussion.

In the meantime it has become quite quiet about the Mafia series. Hardly anything has been heard of the series since the Mafia III, which was sold quite well, but not quite as sparkling in terms of quality. But now something seems to be happening, because a Mafia II: Definitive Edition has apparently appeared in the Taiwan Digital Rating Committee and is listed there for PC, PS4 and Xbox One, albeit with a placeholder as an appointment. More or less in parallel, the same has also appeared in South Korean rating lists.

At the same time, there is also talk of a Complete Edition of Mafia III, which should be a bundle of the main game and DLCs. Mafia III has already appeared on the current generation, so a remaster is rather unlikely.
We would have no objection to a remaster of the Mafia II released ten years ago, even if we were not entirely happy with the gangster epic in all areas (Mafia II – test on games world). In any case, we are keeping an eye on the matter and hope for an early announcement.
