The rumor about one Remaster of the mass effect trilogy is currently making the rounds. So, in 2020, a revised edition of the famous role-playing series from Bioware is supposed to be released and lets us fight again for the fate of mankind in the role of Commander Shepard. The emphasis is supposedly on. We clarify how likely it is.
Where did the rumor come from? First of all: This information about a potential Mass Effect Remaster is not official. Rather, they come from game journalist Jeff Grubb. In his article on Venturebeat about the game lineup 2020 by publisher EA, there is also talk of an unspecified HD remake. According to Grubb, this is "Mass Effect Trilogy Remastered".
This information can be found in a succinct sentence at the end of the article. Jeff Grubb, who has reported well on the gaming industry in the past, is apparently convinced of his own statement. After all, he highlighted her again on Twitter:

The return of Mass Effect: what we know for sure
Since summer 2018 it has been hinted that at Bioware anything in the Mass Effect universe is. At that point, managing director Casey Hudson announced that small teams were working on something about Mass Effect that "you will love". Hudson didn't get any more precise.
It is at least conceivable that this could be the HD remaster of the Mass Effect series. Especially since the statement sounds a lot like a smaller project and no new game, which would fit into the Remaster category.
And Mass Effect would not be the only classic that could be given a makeover: EA is launching a new edition of Command & Conquer, which will be released on June 5, 2020.

In autumn 2018, Casey Hudson even followed suit and made the rumor mill boil again. On the occasion of the N7 Day fan holiday, he pondered what the next big (or great) mass effect would look like.
This choice of words suggests that a full sequel to the 2017 Mass Effect: Andromeda could be planned. Accordingly, both a remaster of the first three parts and a Mass Effect 5 are within the realms of possibility.
Years of hope for more mass effects
The rumors about the future of Mass Effect have been going on for years. Insider reports, ominous developer tweets, hints and other vague notices appear with a certain regularity, but without a tangible announcement.
Industry insider Jason Schreier, for example, reported on the next part of the Mass Effect series, which is currently under development at Bioware. Mike Gamble, who was also involved in Mass Effect 2, 3 and Andromeda and was also responsible for Anthem, is said to be responsible.
A crossover event with Anthem also gave fans the chance to take off with Javelins in mass-effect style. Bioware keeps the memory of one of its most successful brands alive.
The sheer number of notes over the years, which are also fueled by organic goods, indicate that we can look forward to something. Until an official confirmation is given: Wait and drink tea.
