The constant beautification of Microsoft Flight Simulator is entering the next round. With World Update #9, the region around Italy and Malta is now even more beautiful than before.
Asobo and Microsoft have released the ninth World Update for Microsoft Flight Simulator. The Italy and Malta beautification joins the previously revamped areas and brings plenty of new incentives for virtual pilots.
Among other things, you can expect four brand new, handcrafted airports, namely Palermo Airport (LICJ), Sondrio Airport (LILO), Marina di Campo Airport (LIRJ) and Bolanzo Airport (LIPB), as well as revisions of the 100 or so existing airports.
There are also a whopping 94 new points of interest for Italy and 11 more for Malta. Also included: new elevation data, new aerial photos and a revision of the photogrammetry for 12 cities: Ancona, Bari, Cittadella, Milan, Naples, Padua, Paestum, Parma, Pavia, Perugia, Roma, Turin and Venice.
You’ll also get three new Bush trips in the Apennines, Sardinia and Sicily, three discovery flights around Rome, Venice and Florence and three new landing challenges – Reggio Calabria, Palermo Falcone Borsellino and Genova Setri.
The update is available now for free on PC and Xbox after updating the game to the latest version. According to the current status, three more World Updates are planned for 2022, and the free Top Gun expansion is already awaiting you on May 25th.
