Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War was criticized when it was released for not offering enough variety in the form of maps. In the meantime some new maps have been added with Nuketown, The Pines and Raid – not to forget the rather small 2v2 maps.
With the Mid-Season-Update But now there is a really big new map – and that in a few days. We’ll tell you when exactly the patch will come and what else it has in store for you.

New Fireteam map »Sanatorium«
For the mode designed for 40 players, consisting of ten teams of four men each Fireteam comes the map Sanatorium.
The sanatorium offers: Fight your way to the experimental Soviet sanatorium, the State Sanatorium U-23, on the plain of the Ural Mountains. As part of a clandestine NATO operation, references to the Golova mind control project were discovered there.
New multiplayer mode »Dropkick« 6v6
In team-based multiplayer mode Dropkick you vie for a briefcase with start codes for an atomic bomb. You do get a powerful pistol with the case, but ideally your teammates should protect you while you defend the case.
Special feature of Dropkick: If you die while defending the briefcase, you won’t re-spawn straight away. This only happens when the porter has been eliminated and the suitcase falls to the floor.

Zombies
The cranked mode on zombies becomes more intense – Developer Treyarch raises the level to level 11. In cranked mode you play against the clock: you can only reset the timer by killing zombies. If the clock is ticking down, this is your end.
When will the new content come?
The mid-season update for Season 1 comes on Thursday January 14th for PC and all other platforms.
