Mortal Kombat 11 is the most successful part of the long-standing beating game series. Now there is new content in the house, and it is quite impressive.

Somewhat surprisingly, a fresh update has been announced for Mortal Kombat 11, which brings with it a remarkable feature: cross-play. In the current planning, this is still limited to the PS4 and Xbox One consoles, but players on the two home consoles can then really play together and against each other with the new update.
In this context, NetherRealm and Warner Bros. emphasize that the feature is currently still being extensively tested. As a result, gamers will be thrown into a cross-platform matchmaking pool in the future. Cross-Play is not yet live, but that will be the case shortly. For test purposes, the feature is initially limited to the online casual game modes.

But that's not all, because another well-known character will be added to the game in the foreseeable future. None other than the Batman villain Joker will join Mortal Kombat 11's fight. The release of this character is scheduled for January 28, 2020.
Joker is not entirely new to the franchise, because the villain was previously featured in Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe represented – but it was just a cross-over game.
