WhatsApp introduces the “Reactions” feature. For some it’s “the best thing that could have happened to the app”, for others it’s the end of the culture of debate in Messenger.
- WhatsApp is introducing a new feature, Reactions.
- The change has met with mixed reactions online.
For a few days now, you can add an emoji to WhatsApp messages. “Reactions” is what WhatsApp calls the feature, which is already known from other messengers such as iMessage and Co. The function meets with divided echo in the network:
There are many who welcome the introduction of reactions to WhatsApp. So you no longer have to feel “awkward” when you have nothing more to say in the chat. Instead, you just leave an emoji and go – that’s the tenor of the proponents.
However, according to the taste of many of you, some reactions are still missing on WhatsApp.
Critics of the function, on the other hand, fear the end of the culture of debate in Messenger and even call on Mark Zuckerberg to withdraw the change:
Are you annoyed by the many notifications about the news reactions? Then you can find out how to turn it off in the linked instructions.
